The Glock 42 is the smallest GLOCK possible with its compact dimensions and easy-to-use features. It features Glock's Safe Action system, which provides a consistent trigger from the first round to the last. Three independently operating automatic devices are built into the pistol's fire control system. All three safeties are sequentially released when the trigger is pulled and automatically re-engage when the trigger is released. The frame is made of polymer and hardened steel guides. It has a better grip angle and less weight. The slide stop lever and magazine catch are easy to use with the shooting hand. The advanced surface treatment of the skate provides superior stiffness by significantly reducing wear and tear and making it corrosion resistant even in saltwater conditions. Matte surface reduces light reflection. The barrel is mechanically sealed and cold hammer forged. It also has the same surface treatment as the slide. Its suction device acts as a loaded chamber indicator to comply with the laws of some states, and its position can visually and physically indicate if a cartridge is loaded in the pistol.
