2 Seat Ultralight Aircraft - The Buccaneer (also known as the Mallard in some of its designs) is a one- or two-seat ultralight long-wing amphibious flying pusher boat sold as a kit aircraft.
The aircraft was produced in various configurations by several American companies, including Arnet Pereyra Inc.
2 Seat Ultralight Aircraft
The first single-seat Buccaneer XA model was introduced in 1984 and met US FAR 103 ultra-light vehicle requirements. The aircraft was a commercial success and sold well until it was replaced by the Buccaneer SX in 1988. The SX remained on the market until general production ceased in 1998, although in 2001 the model was still available as a special order for Aero Adventure Aviation. . The SX was replaced by the Aero Avtura Avtura UL and derivatives of the HP seats.

The Buccaneer II was a two-seat side-by-side kit introduced in 1988 as an ultralight trainer. This model was replaced by the Aero Advture Avtura II, an improved model of the Buccaneer II.
The original XA model was built from scratch with anodized aluminum, and a fiberglass hull. The Wing King is wire-braced to the support and has an aluminum structure, previously covered with a Dacron core. The wing has 2/3 span ailerons and no flaps. The tailwheel could be pulled using a rope, while the main landing gear was removed from the aircraft by the pilot and placed in the cabin to be dropped on the water after take-off.
The SX model was introduced to offer additional graphics over the XA. Most SX's have removed the cable replacement parts and the V series includes the judges. The wings have full ailerons. The body has been completely redesigned and has a new structure that can handle weather conditions better. The landing gear can be mounted on top of the landing gear instead of being removed.
The Buccaneer II is similar to the SX, but with a wider hull to accommodate the same two seats. Ailerons are 2/3. The landing gear is adjusted by the control unit and moves the tail and main wheels. Important equipment includes a mechanical brake.

Long-term use and the harshness of land and water have led to design weaknesses as many older aircraft have experienced BT side trailing wings, wing roots, flywheels and tailpipes.
