As a retired LEO, I own several guns (most of them Glocks). This is my favorite gun for concealed carry. The .40 caliber gets the job done and the pistol fires without missing a beat. I took SMJ and Hallow points without any problems. At the range this little rifle outperforms my more expensive Kimber 1911 .45. What I mean by this is that my Kimber has a real problem with feed sticking. The hand safety is too close to the handle so the thumb accidentally brushes the safety. These problems result in failure to shoot a rapid live fire scene. Whereas my Glock 27 never jammed or failed in a live-fire situation. I can keep shooting while someone else is fixing their problems with other guns. I trusted this gun with my life! That's something I can't say about many other guns!

I bought a GLOCK 27 for concealed carry off duty. Since this is a small gun that packs 40 quarter rounds, you can definitely feel the recoil. With practice and repetition, setbacks can be overcome. I installed a small SIG Romeo RDS on my G27 and found it much easier to get back on target after each shot. From my own experience with this gun, I recommend setting it up if you have issues with recoil management (target acquisition due to recoil). For me this gun is perfect for melee use (self defense situation) just point and shoot, but if there is a distance between me and the target, the red dot will definitely come in handy to hit the target in a stressful situation . . Other than that, it's a great gun.

I honestly despise Glocks. They were blocky and heavy guns that didn't fit in my hand at all.
